Brushfire Fairytales

Multi talented singer Jack Johnson is passionate about many things. Surfing, film production, writing songs and of course, singing. This Hawaiian native cannot really be put into one musical category as his style is a diverse palette of genres. He can sing the blues, hip hop, folk and even rock. He has been compared to the likes of Ben Harper, who apparently did some steel guitar work on Johnson's debut album. Some songs that stand out are "Inaudible Melodies" for it's distinct sound. "Middle Man" comes across as more contemporary, something that can be considered "radio friendly." Another interesting tune that falls in the pop rock category is simply entitled "Flake." This is the track where Ben Harper laces the track with his steel guitar. The bluesy "Fortunate Fool" is also a worthy mention.
