Craig Pruess / Terracotta

Acclaimed musician Craig Pruess has put together an enjoyable set of instrumental compositions on his album entitled "Terracotta." Pruess is joined by fellow musicians John Altman, Kuljit Bhamra and Nawazish Ali Khan on numerous tracks which range from the more traditional Indian music to modern fusion. The album begins with "Cantour," a pleasant track with a notable performance on saxopone by John Altman. "Dance With Shiva," is a spiritual composition with Pruess impressing listeners with his sitar amongst many other instruments that he plays. "Lover's Kiss" is an enchanting song followed by a more upbeat rockin' song entitled "Brothers." Both of these tracks originate from Gurinder Chadha's feature film "Bhaji On The Beach." The London Session Orchestra joins Pruess on the mesmerizing "Masai Sonata." Another noteworthy track is called "Whispers." It has a certain mysteriousness in it's rhythms. All in all, this is a good album. Check it out.
