The "Queen of Hip Hop & Soul" has earned her title with numerous albums and collaborations to her name. Mary J. Blige teams up with P. Diddy and offers up 18 tracks of her usual dose of love related songs. On her previous album "No More Drama" listeners could feel the emotional pain she was releasing through some of her lyrics. Her current album "Love & Life" seems to find Mary in a more serene and loving state of happiness. Probably the case since she married her true love a while back. Certainly must have served as an inspiration on tracks such as "When We," "All My Love" and "Ultimate Relationship." Jay-Z and P.Diddy team up with Mary on the jammin' title track. The first lady of the Ruff Ryders, Eve, brings added girl power to the Dr. Dre produced track "Not Today." 50 Cent drops some rhymes on "Let Me Be The 1." Another notable track is the debut single "Ooh." It's one for the dance floors. Method Man and Mary shake things up with "Love At First Sight." Emotions run strong on "Friends" and "Special Part Of Me" is also a good track. An enjoyable album.
