Jazz musician Oliver Jones certainly has had a successful career. He retired from the industry about two years ago. His current album "Then & Now" is a compilation of his best from 1986 to 2001. The songs feature the simple yet enchanting sounds of bass & piano. Said to be probably inspired by the legendary Erroll Garner, some wonderful performances are given on tracks such as "Girl Talk" & "I'll Remember April." Jones & Bey give a great performance on the upbeat "Perdido." Other standout tracks inlcude "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," and "Tender Touch." Many will miss Oliver's music indeed. "I love what I've accomplished, but it's over," says Mr. Jones. Fans will definitely enjoy this cd.
