New R&B artist "Tweet" is Missy Elliott's protégé and her debut album has the production collaboration of Mr. Timbaland (known previously for his fantastic work with the late Aaliyah and others). The debut release "Oops (Oh My)" is provocative to say the least. It's musical production is innovative and intoxicating. Missy teams up with Tweet and lends her vocal talent to this chart topper. "My Place" is mellow and her distinct "southern" vocal style is a pleasant listen. Bilal drops by on "Best Friend" and shares a tale of friendship taking a turn towards love. "Southern Hummingbird" has a lot of smokey slow jams but Tweet can pull off some decent danceable tracks as well. You'll groove to the rhythms of "Boogie 2nite" and "Make U'r Move." A few songs like "Motel" and "Smoking Cigarettes" fall short musically but are strong lyrically. "Call Me" is really cool. It's melodic backdrop blends Indian and Hip Hop beats. Listeners are treated to a bonus track, the funky remix of "Oops (Oh My)." An artist to discover.
