You may be wondering who is Burt Bacharach? Well, he is the mastermind behind some of the biggest hits of the 60's, 70's and 80's. He wrote all 30 songs o­n this compilation featuring artists that have enjoyed successful music careers, partially credited to this talented writer. The album begins with a song many of you know, "Close To You" by The Carpenters. "Raindrops keep falling o­n my Head" by B.J. Thomas will make you take a walk down memory lane. The soulful Dionne Warwick has had many hits thanks to Burt. The list includes "Do You Know The Way To San Hose," "Don't Make Me Over" and "That's What Friends Are For" which she sang with fellow superstars, Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder. Other artists that contributed to this album include Perry Como, The Shirelles, Patti LaBelle, Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross and even Burt Bacharach himself, who teams up with Elvis Costello o­n the song "God Give Me Strength."
