Teacher’s Pet

Have you ever wondered what your pet dog or cat would be like if he or she were human? Gary Baseman spent 15 years observing his dog Hubcaps in search of an answer to this mind boggling question. The result is a wonderfully entertaining animated series involving a dog and his adventures as a human boy. Here is a fun filled DVD, inspired by the Emmy-winning television show of the same name. Disney's "Teacher's Pet" is the story of a dog named Spot, who wishes he was a boy like his master Leonard. Spot (who has the ability to talk) transforms himself into a boy, and attends school with Leonard. Leonard is not thrilled when he finds out that Spot has transformed himself into Scott, for all Leonard wishes is to have a normal dog. Leonard and his mom Mrs. Helperman (Scott and Leonard's 4th grade teacher) take a trip to Florida. When Spot learns that a certain Dr. Krank in Florida can transform animals into humans, he must find a way to join Leonard. Spot tags along undercover, as his boy-self Scott. Once in Florida, Spot rushes to see Dr. Krank, but gets a strange feeling about the doctor and his laboratory. Spot decides to go along with the procedure, only to find that the results are not what he expected. Spot, Leonard and friends embark on a journey to right the wrongs of Dr. Krank. "Teacher's Pet" is an animated adventure the whole family will enjoy. The interaction between humans and animals will entertain children as much as the zanny characters themselves. The upbeat songs also make for a fun experience. Adults will love the witty script and star filled cast that includes:
Kelsey Grammer, Nathan Lane, Debra Jo Rupp, David Ogden Stiers, Jerry Stiller, Paul Reubens, Megan Mullally, Rob Paulsen, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris,Jay Thomas and Shaun Fleming. The artwork in this series is phenomenal. Baseman's illustrations have appeared in numerous well known American publications. He has also lent his creative talent to multinational companies, such as Apple and Sony and illustrated the popular board-game, Cranium. The characters in "Teacher's Pet" resemble much of what Baseman has become recognized for: hybrid animals and humans brought to life by bold lines and bright colours. With the help of director Timothy Bjorkland, Baseman's characters have come to life. Special features:
