This artist's name rhymes with another young female R&B artist's name (Ciara – she of '1,2 Step') and I do not think it is by coincidence. They sound very much alike. There are many big name producers who show up on Teairra's debut album, such as Sean Garrett (Destiny's Child), Jay-Z and Rodney Jerkins (). She sounds much more mature than her age of 17 (but who doesn't nowadays?!). Born and raised in Detroit, she has that easy to listen to sound that is quite popular in the R&B circles today. All the beats are catchy and the lyrics, while quite simple, you'll find yourself singing. It is a short album containing only 10 tracks and lasting 45 minutes, but it is a fine debut from a young up and coming artist. To be noted is that the album does contain some explicit lyrics. Highlights on the album include No Daddy and Make Her Feel Good (debut single).
