The blues is where it's at for multiple Juno nominee Harry Manx. His sound is not traditional blues music as he infuses it with Indian instrumentation and influence. The unique sound he creates is a marriage between music from the East and West. A multi-talented artist, Manx writes, sings and plays slide guitar, mohan veena, tamboura, banjo, guitar, and lap steel guitar on the album. All songs on the CD were written by Manx except for the two covers of J.J. Cale and Robbie Robertson tunes. Do check out and read the beautiful 14 page booklet that comes with the CD as he gives you an insight into how the album came about. Manx will be hitting Montreal on April 26 at the Theatre Outremont and Longueuil on May 4 at Theatre de la Ville. Check him out!
