Ten points to you if you recognize the female vocalist on this album! Isobel Campbell was the former cellist and vocalist for Belle and Sebastian. Her voice barely goes above a whisper on most tracks, but it is interesting when juxtaposed against Mark Lanegan's Leonard Cohen-like voice. The album sounds very much like something that would be playing in the background at a bohemian coffeehouse. It definitely is an album you have to be in the mood for and not something you would just put on haphazardly. It is not something you put on to get pumped up, but rather something you would put on to chill out to.
