It has been over a decade since the last release from this British group. They were big in the 80s and early 90s, but have been silent since. "Retroglide" is true to its name in that it seems as if for this band that time has not advanced and they are still using their 'retro' sound. Amazing bass player Mark King still leads the band with his innovative playing and clear singing. Now he is joined by his son, Nathan King, and other members Lyndon Connah, Sean Freeman and Gary Husband. Original Level 42 members, Mike Lindup and Boon Gould, make appearances. If you enjoyed their brand of smooth funky pop then there are no changes or surprises here. Their mixture of jazz and pop always was a cut above many other pretenders.
