Skate at the Bell Centre with Dawson College

In this hockey mad city of ours it is not often you are given the opportunity to skate on the ice at the Bell Centre. Home of the Montreal Canadiens since 1996, the Bell Centre has become our hallowed temple of all things hockey.

Montreal Canadiens mascot Youppi and Habs great Rejean Houle will be there, so you can get a picture with them or an autograph. Each ticket also enters you into a draw (you have to be in attendance to win) for an autographed stick by the present day Montreal Canadiens plus other prizes. There are 9 sticks to win so the draws will happen during each of the 9 skate time slots.

The Bell skate is to raise funds for the Catherine Ward Scholarship (offered in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens). It is a scholarship for female hockey players who are going on to play hockey at the university level. So it is fun for a good cause!

The tickets cost anywhere from $11 to $15 (depending on the size of your group), which is a bargain as the trio alone usually costs that amount. You can purchase tickets at the College, at the door on the day of the event or by phone. You get to choose the time slot you want (check the website for the available time slots) between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., but don
