When people out there think of women's music most of the time we think of sad or sappy ballads. Admit it! Well, this 12th version of the Women and Songs goes a long way to disprove that notion. Woman can groove (Danity Kane, and Lady GaGa), rock (Katy Perry and Suzie McNeil) and be soulful (Duffy, Adele and Amy Winehouse). Sure there are some slow songs on the album (Sarah Slean and Nelly Furtado) but they are not sappy in the least. The beginning of the album is all about energy and then it sorta fades in the end. Maybe they should have thought more about interspersing the uptempo tunes with the slower ones.
Needless to say some of the songs are stronger than the others, but overall this is a fun album.
