Each song on this album is a lot of fun and quite catchy, but it is hard to review the album as it is a strange one. The Color Bars have created an album full of bubbly pop music, but not of the Britney or Justin variety. It is just a little left of center. There are moments of The Beach Boys on the album and then comes some psychedelic stuff which will confuse you. It is not annoying but fun. There is even a song, "Ja Mata Shibuya", in which they sing in Japanese. They have gone way beyond Gwen Stefani's love for Hello Kitty culture and the like. And let's remember that these guys are from New York (now based in Seattle) and not Tokyo. Listening to this album is like a bright and shiny day…while on acid.
