Another sold out show in Montreal…
You know it is around St. Patrick's Day when the Irish American band Flogging Molly comes to town. The seven-piece band plays a mix of Celtic and punk music. Having a rather unique sound the band has really be able to carve a niche for themselves since they formed in 1993.
Considering the band has remained completely independent it is rather amazing that they've sold 1.5 million albums to this point. When you go to see them perform live, which is always a treat, you will hear how their music has been influenced by the likes of The Pogues and The Clash. The music ranges from loud to somber to defiant. You'll find yourself singing along to their songs about the Catholic Church, love, drinking, and, of course, Ireland. A party breaks out whenever these guys play, so join it!
