Has it really been 26 years? Amazing! Jon Bon Jovi and his bandmates have been together for that long. Over the course of that time they have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. Longevity and popularity – a not easy to attain combination in the rock world.
Part of the reason for their popularity (besides Jon Bon Jovi's good looks and great hair) has been their ability to write spirit lifting arena rock songs. Nothing has changed on "The Circle" as there seems to be a desire to get back to their roots on the record. Richie Sambora's guitar is up-front-and-center on the album and the lyrics are quite positive. They are back to being a rock band and the mellow phase seems to be over. Packs a punch and is full of emotion. They've followed the formula that has proved quite successful for them in the past.
The album is combined with a Bon Jovi documentary shot by Phil Griffin. Filmed during the Lost Highway tour, unbelievably this is the first up close look at this legendary band. We really get up close to the members of the band and get an insiders look at what makes them tick.
