Eighteen years later the band Our Lady Peace is still making music and is still passionate about what they do. Over the course of their career they have been one of the most popular rock acts in Canada. Selling over 5 million albums, winning 4 Junos and 10 MuchMusic Video Awards, OLP has really connected with music fans. They are a rock band, but they have their own unique sound. You only have to listen to their singles like “Naveed”, “Starseed” and “Somewhere Out There” to figure that out. This cross-Canada tour is happening before they go into the studio and record their eighth album.
Anytime a concert is called “An Evening With…” I find it to be a little pompous sounding. With this veteran Canadian rock outfit you can expect anything but pomposity. They will be joining the concert trend that has been very popular recently of playing entire albums front to back. On the first night they will be playing the entire Clumsy (1997) album then on the second night they will perform Spiritual Machines (2000). After they play these albums there will be a short intermission and then the band will come back on and play another set filled with their hits like “One Man Army”, “Innocent” and “Is Anybody Home”. All in all you will be getting roughly 25 songs or 2 ½ hours for your concert dollars.
