Originally from Gaspésie, Aurélia O'Leary spent a fair amount of time developing her career as a jazz artist in France. She came back to Quebec in 2003 and has been continuing to entertain listeners with her music. Her album "Allume" is a collection of eleven jazz tracks that are poetic and Aurélia conveys a personal feel through her music. The title track is jazzy and has a really nice groove. "J'aime" is upbeat with some African influences. "Un Océan" and "Douce Indifférence" are enjoyable as well. The concluding "Hôm" also stands out for its spiritual and Eastern sound. Allume is a charming album and Aurélia is an artist to discover.
