The festival that celebrates the best that francophone music from all over the world has to offer has started, but you still have a chance to take in some of its offerings. The festival is in its 22nd year and routinely brings in near 1 million spectators. You can understand this kind of attendance when you cast a glance at the program. Acts like Diane Tell, Malajube, Betty Bonifassi, Angelique Kidjo, Diane Dufresne, Luc De Larochellière, Mario Pelchat, Martine St-Clair, Robert Charlebois, The Stills, Les Trois Accords, and Damian Robitaille.
At this year's festival there will be around 1,000 performers from dozens of countries that put on more than 250 shows of which 180 are outdoors and free. There are 7 outdoor stages set up around the Place des Arts area. Just head down and you are sure to catch something good.
