The debut full-length album for Blacktop Records is a solid, if unremarkable one. Singing of love and heartbreak, this Canadian act includes a bit of something for everyone. Over the course of the 11 songs you will hear shades of The Cure, Oasis, Dashboard Confessionals, and Smashing Pumpkins amongst others. What I first noticed about the album is Frankie Mayfield's voice. It is unlike any you have heard before. It is quite powerful and full of emotion. The album ends with an interesting cover of The Ronette's "Be My Baby". They have totally made the song their own which is the smart thing to have done with such a well-known and loved song.
