Aussie band formed in 1985 with Kiwi lead singer Neil Finn. Finn and Paul Hester came to the band from their former band Split Endz. They then added Craig Hooper on guitar and Nick Seymour on bass. The band began touring around Australia and New Zealand gathering momentum.
With the release of their self-titled debut album in 1986 they gained worldwide success with singles like "World Where You Live", "Something So Strong" and "Don't Dream It's Over". They followed up that success with the 1988 release "Temple of the Low Man" which contained the hit single "Better Be Home Soon". After a brief hiatus early in the 90s they released another album that didn't do as well and then broke up in 1996. Several band members went off and did solo projects.
Ten years later after the death of Paul Hester the band got back together in 2006. Finn, Seymour and Mark Hart got back together. They started playing shows at festivals and recording songs. Early in 2010 the band released the album "Intriguer" and have now embarked in a world tour to support it.
