As far as concept albums go this one is quite a dark one. As you might gather from the title, Tribal Machine's third album is concerned with a future that sees the system controlling its creators. Inspired by George Orwell's novel 1984 Tribal Machine sings of a world in where the corporations rather than the government controls everything. People have been forced to pledge allegiance to The Corporation rather than the government. Rather than being completely serious the work is an act of parody. The band sees it as a response to the time they and we all live in.
It took over 3 years for the album to be written and recorded. Tribal Machine got some veteran help from Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, The Matrix, Marilyn Manson) in the mastering of it. It features heavy drum beats, gruff vocal work and a dark tone
An epic piece of work. A four act story told over 16 songs, this band from Victoria, British Columbia is undaunted by the idea that they might fall flat on their faces trying out a concept album in these days.
