This is Seal's sixth studio album. He has had quite a career. His latest album was produced by the highly respected David Foster. It contains the usual Seal stuff with his distinctive baritone voice and catchy melodies. The songs concern themselves with family, relationships and love which is not surprising coming from this family man. Throughout his career he has been able to walk the tightrope of being emotional without becoming schmaltzy in his songs. Once again he has delved deep inside of himself to come up with songs that are quite personal.
It is not all positive though….more and more he seems to be completely comfortable working under the Adult Contemporary umbrella. He seems content to go down musical paths already forged rather than creating his own. Seal is not pushing any boundaries here and seems to have taken his foot off the gas on this one.
