Fashion designing, acting, participating in Dancing with the Stars, stand-up comedy, being the first Asian star of her own sitcom, recording artists, star of her own reality show, and gay rights activist Margaret Cho has done a little bit of everything in her career. At 41, she is one of the most respected and beloved American stand-up comedians. Known for her outspokenness on topics like sex, homosexuality, race, and her impersonations of her mother, Cho is now on tour with her latest stand-up show called Cho Dependent.
Her latest tour is a mix of stand-up and live music. It will mostly be stand-up, but also features a couple of songs from her recently released album, "Cho Dependent". The comedy music album featured duets with Tegan and Sara, Ani Difranco and Andrew Bird.
The show is sure to feature the usual raunchiness, intelligence, provocative nature of her material, and tears rolling down your cheeks funny stuff that we've come to expect from this talented lady. Margaret Cho proves that as a comedian you can have a potty mouth, but still have an important message (anti-homophobia, anti-racism, body image for women) in your material.
