In a kind of apology for his bad behaviour recently, late in 2010 Kanye West released what was one of the strongest albums of the year. Using the mode of hip hop, R&B and pop music he tells the story of what is lurking in his mind and heart. Making himself vulnerable through confession, West sings/raps of his hopes, faults and what he believes in. He fills it out by bringing in horns, some cool progressive rock samples, chants, and spoken word. He goes further than ever and can now truly be seen as one of the more creative people on the music scene today. Plus there are guest appearances by Elton John, Fergie and Bon Iver to add to the mix.
