Despite the fact that the subject of the series is rather dark with all the bodies and murders involved there is still plenty of humour to be found. The series is based on the real-life experiences of anthropologist/novelist Kathy Reichs. Dr. Temperance Brennan (played by Emily Deschanel) works at the Jeffersonian Institute as a forensic anthropologist. She is able to decipher the clues left behind in murder victims' bones like no other. Brennan, a woman with very few interpersonal skills, is teamed up with FBI Special Agent Steeley Booth (played by David Boreanaz). Booth is a former Army sniper who doesn't think too highly of scientists. A match made in heaven.
