Brotherhood: The Second Season

The Sopranos gave us a picture of the Italian side of organized crime and family relations and this series is the Irish version of that. With similar subjects like infidelity, violence, drugs, criminal actions, and dysfunctional families there is never a dull moment.

The Caffee family or Providence, Rhode Island finds itself on both sides of the fence in a legal sense. Tommy (played by Jason Clarke) is a state representative and his brother Michael (played by Jason Isaacs) is part of a local crime syndicate. Michael's 'profession' has put Tommy in awkward situations several times. Led by matriarch Rose (played by Fionnula Flanagan), the Caffees are not exactly warm and cuddly.

Episode 1: One Too Many Mornings: Tommy and Eileen (played by Annabeth Gish) try hard to keep up the appearances of a happy marriage.

Episode 2: Down in the Flood: Rose is suspicious of Colin's (played by Brian F. O'Byrne) reasons for coming home.

Episode 3: The Lonesome Death of…: Franklin tries to help Colin.

Episode 4: Not Dark Yet: Rose causes problems between her two sons.

Episode 5: Dear Landlord: Freddie asks Declan (played by Ethan Embry) for his help in find someone.

Episode 6: True Love Tends to Forget: Eileen learns how to behave from other politician's wives.
