Californication: Season 1

I went into watching this show knowing very little about it and coming out of it loving it. It is funny, sad, sexy, and titillating all in one great package. David Duchovny is perfectly cast and the supporting cast is wonderful as well. Unfortunately there are only twelve episodes, but don't despair as the second season is going on as you read this. There will be more!

Episode 1: Pilot: Hank (played by David Duchovny) admits to Karen (played by Natascha McElhone) that he wants her back, but she tells him that she is engaged.

Episode 2: Hell-A Woman: Karen sets up Hank with her friend Sonja (played by Paula Marshall).

Episode 3: The Whore of Babylon: Todd Carr (played by Chris Williams), the director of the film based on Hank's novel, gets into a fight with Hank. Hank is arrested and Bill (played by Damian Young) has to bail him out.

Episode 4: Fear and Loathing at the Fundraiser: Meredith (played by Amy Price-Francis) talks Hank into being her date at an environmental fundraiser.

Episode 5: LOL: Becca's (played by Madelaine Martin) first crush ends in heartbreak.

Episode 6: Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder: Mia (played by Madelaine Zima) asks Hank for more of his writing.

Episode 7: Girls, Interrupted: Charlie (played by Evan Handler) and Marcy (played by Pamela Adlon) decide to have a threesome with Charlie's assistant, Dani (played by Rachel Miner).

Episode 8: California Son: Hank's father, Al (played by Mark Margolis), dies and Hank falls into a state of despair.

Episode 9: Filthy Lucre: Hank has written a new manuscript and wants Karen to read it.

Episode 10: The Devil's Threesome: Hank and Charlie become roommates after Marcy leaves Charlie.

Episode 11: Turn the Page: Becca tells Karen that she wants to live with Hank.

Episode 12: The Last Waltz: Hank has a hard time adjusting to the fact that Karen is marrying Bill.

  1. First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question that
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out.

I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost
just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
    Appreciate it!
