As with most people in their 20s Ted and his gang of friends have to deal with dating problems, career choices and life choices. All this is done with humour and craziness like rarely seen on television. Episode 1: Do I Know You?: Ted (played by Josh Radner) wants an answer from Stella (played by Sarah Chalke) and Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris) has something he wants to say to Robin (played by Cobie Smulders).
Episode 2: The Best Burger in New York: Marshall (played by Jason Segal) is on a quest to locate the first place he ever ate a burger in New York.
Episode 3: I Heart NJ: Stella's babysitter cancels and so the gang hangs out at her place in New Jersey.
Episode 4: Intervention: Ted begins packing his stuff for his move to New Jersey.
Episode 5: Shelter Island: Ted and Stella decide to get married in three days.
Episode 6: Happily Ever After: After seeing Stella by chance the gang thinks about how to handle chance encounters.
Episode 7: Not a Father's Day: Barney makes up a holiday to celebrate not being a father.
Episode 8: Wooo!: At a birthday party with Lily's (played by Alyson Hannigan) coworkers Robin meets up with a group of single partiers named the "Woo Girls".
Episode 9: The Naked Man: Robin's new boyfriend (played by Adam Paul) lets the gang in on a new way to get their dates to sleep with them.
Episode 10: The Fight: Ted, trying to prove he's not predictable, picks a fight with a group of guys sitting in the gang's booth at Maclaren's.
Episode 11: Little Minnesota: Ted tries to keep his visiting sister (played by Erin Cahill) away from Barney.
Episode 12: Benefits: Ted and Robin try out 'friends with benefits'.
Episode 13: Three Days of Snow: A blizzard hits New York and everyone is stuck inside.
Episode 14: The Possimpible: Barney makes a video resume for Robin to help her get a job before she's deported to Canada.
Episode 15: The Stinsons: The gang believes Barney has a secret girlfriend, so they begin following him.
Episode 16: Sorry, Bro: Ted's college girlfriend (played by Laura Prepon) is back in his life.
Episode 17: The Front Porch: Ted is surprised to find out that Lily is behind many of his break ups.
Episode 18: Old King Clancy: Marshall and Barney try to keep Ted from finding out his latest design job has been cancelled.
Episode 19: Murtaugh: Barney tries to finish a list Ted made to prove the gang's too old. Ted has to finish a list of things there are supposedly too young to do yet.
Episode 20: Mosbius Designs: Ted goes out on his own as an architect.
Episode 21: The Three Days Rule: Ted breaks the rule by continuously texting a girl he's just met.
Episode 22: Right Place Right Time: Barney makes the 200th notch on his bedpost.
Episode 23: As Fast As She Can: Ted keeps trying to land a client for his company.
Episode 24: The Leap: Ted's 31st birthday is coming up and Marshall's trying to get him to his surprise party.
