A story about dinosaur pals Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, Spike, and Ducky who have an amazing adventure together.
This is the 12th installment of the popular animated film series about a young group of dinosaurs. The animated versions of these fierce creatures have made them cute and cuddly (if you can believe it) for a generation of young people.
In the Great Valley a very important day is the Day of the Flyers. That day is coming up quickly and Petrie is having trouble creating a formation for himself and his siblings. Despite the help of his friends, but it ends up being a newcomer named Guido that gives him the most helpful advice. Guido tells Petrie that the best way to go is to just be himself. Cera is also going through a hard time as she has a new baby sister and is jealous of all the attention the little one is getting from her parents.
The gang does not know what to make of Guido, as they have never seen anything like him. As he is fuzzy they try to figure out what kind of dinosaur he is. All this mystery and questions lead the young dinosaurs on an adventure to the Mystery Beyond and it becomes a time they will never forget that teaches them all about loyalty and friendship.
The message is to simple and to be expected. There is nothing new here, but that does not mean that kids do not need to hear it. You can never have too much of a good thing. The story and lessons learned are typical of this series, but you will not hear anyone, young or old, complaining.
