You Don’t Mess with the Zohan: Unrated – Blu-Ray Edition

Where do they come up with these concepts? I mean, really! A former Israeli Special Forces soldier who fakes his own death to resurface in New York as a hair stylist? Groan!

Zohan Dvir (Adam Sandler – Click, Reign Over Me) fakes his own death so he can take up styling hair in New York. He soon becomes very popular in part due to his 'special services' that he gives in the back room. Soon, however, he is recognized and his whole new life is in jeopardy.

This is a film you can totally shut your brain off for…except maybe the couple of cells you need to keep breathing with. I guess for those of you that love Adam Sandler movies (and there are plenty of you out there), despite the fact that for the large part they are not good, you'll enjoy this one as well because it is just a Saturday Night Live skit that goes on…and on…and on. There is what could pass for slapstick and also gross out type humour in the film. As usual there are also the corny 'serious' moments in the film that are so predictable it will hurt. For me that film dragged on and I got bored. Others might think differently.
