French electronic duo Justice (Gaspar Augé and Xavier de Rosnay) was an unknown entity for me before listening to this CD. I went in with a completely fresh perspective. It is their second album after the release of their debut, Cross. Cross demonstrated that the band was an electronic/synth outfit. On Justice they have evolved as musicians as has their sound. A marriage between electronica and 70s rock is what is going on. Fans of bands like ELO might find here what they have been seeking. A more lively sound that is lighter than their previous music. Rather than just be recognized as DJs who patch together samples they are now truly making their own music. Music that is more sophisticated and understated. The songs Helix and Civilization are the strongest on the album.
