Modestep Brings its Crossover Sound to Live Audiences

Around the London, England electronic scene since 2010, Modestep is made up of four guys – Tony Friend, Josh Friend, Matthew Curtis, and Nick Tsang (guitar).  The brothers Friend had been DJing individually since 2001.  Finally in 2010 they decided to form a group to expand their electronic sound.  Initially their sound was dubstep with Josh providing vocals.  As time went on their sound evolved to include some rock influences.  Theirs is a unique sound that just evolved naturally and allows them to be played alongside bands like The Prodigy and Skrillex as well as Ed Sheeran and The Script.

Modestep released their debut EP at the beginning of 2011.  Entitled To the Stars it contained the tracks Bite the Hand and Feel Good.  Just this year the band released their first full length album called Evolution Theory.  So far the single Another Day feat. Popeska has been released.

Much of their reputation has been built upon their live show.  Modestep has toured with Lostprophets and played at festivals like Wireless Festival, Redfest, Parklife, and will perform at Coachella this year.
