Montreal Canadiens – White vs Red Scrimmage

The tragedy that happened in Lac Megantic earlier this summer affected the whole province.  As good members of the community the Montreal Canadiens have decided to step up and lend some help to the people of that city.  On Saturday the team will have an intra-squad game with the proceeds going to Fonds Avenir Lac-Mégantic.  The team will be divided up into a White team and a Red team.  Since 55 players were invited to training camp they will have plenty of players to outfit two teams.

Of the 55 a few are injured like Brian Gionta, George Parros and Alexei Emelin, so they won’t be there.  You will be able to see favourites like Carey Price, Alex Galchenyun, Brendan Gallagher, Max Pacioretty, and PK Subban, check out young guys like Louis Leblanc, Jarred Tinordi, Zachary Fucale, and Nathan Beaulieu as well as see the newest members of the team like Douglas Murray, Davis Drewiske and Christian Thomas.

On top of the thrill of being amongst the first fans in Montreal to see this year’s squad play each ticket holder will get a hot dog, bag of chips and a drink.  Your $5 is going a long way and to a good cause.

This morning I heard there were still around 6,000 tickets available, so it is not too late to jump on board.
