Around since 1971, The Eagles were a staple on radio during the 1970s. Everything they did during the early part of their career turned to gold. From 1972-1979 the band released six studio albums and each one was a success. They had six number one albums, six Grammy Awards, seven number one singles, and five American Music Awards. Two of their albums are ranked within the Top 20 selling albums in the United States, Their Greatest Hits (1971-75) and Hotel California. Their best known singles are “Hotel California”, “Take It Easy”, “Witchy Woman”, “Desperado”, “One of These Nights”, “Lyin’ Eyes”, “Take It to the Limit”, “Best of My Love”, “New Kid in Town”, “Heartache Tonight”, and “Peaceful Easy Feeling”. With all this success, it makes sense that they are one of the best selling bands of all-time with over 150 million albums sold.
The Eagles are made up of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmidt. They broke up in 1980 and several of the members of the band went on to have successful solo careers. In 1994 the band got back together and has continued working together in the new millennium.
On this tour, which is in support of the documentary History of the Eagles, they have stated that the band will be getting back to its roots.
