When it comes to hard rock music there is precious little cooler than lead vocalist/bassist Lemmy Kilmister. Amazing to say considering the guy is approaching his 70th birthday. He is aging like a fine wine and only getting better. This is despite the fact that he has had some health issues he is still rocking and rolling with the best of them. All fourteen songs on Afterhead are uptempo and concern the same topics they always have – women, being a bad ass and the future being apocalyptic. “Heartbreaker” and “Coup de Grace” are rockers up to par with anything they have done in their long, 21 album long career. Dirty, filthy loud blues infused rock music. Some things you can just count on but Motorhead is a lot more fun than death and taxes.
