This is Kanye West’s first solo tour in several years so fans are chomping at the bit to see their guy live. There is no one like Kanye in the music industry and I mean that in both a bad and good way. His music is usually of the highest quality, but he has the ego to go along with it, but you have to take the whole package when it comes to Kanye. Whatever this guy does you know he does it big and brash.
He began his music career as a producer on the Roc-A-Fella Records where he worked with artists like Janet Jackson, Ludacris and Alicia Keys. Though he was highly regarded as a producer most did not take him seriously as a rapper and that is what he wanted to be. This was the only label that supported his desire to be a rapper and so he stuck with them. Kanye released his debut album called The College Dropout. Right out of the gates the music world saw and heard his talent. The album and his six subsequent albums have been commercial and critical successes. Songs like “Jesus Walks”, “Slow Jamz”, “Stronger”, “Love Lockdown”, and “Heartless” have made him one of the biggest selling and most awarded artists operating today. Over the course of his short career he has won 21 Grammy Awards.
This stop on the Yeezus tour is coming a little later than first planned as due to the birth of his daughter North he delayed the beginning of his tour to spend time with the baby. The time has finally come for Mr. West to grace us with his presence and I’m sure it will be a show that will have people talking.
