AC/DC has been in the news a bunch lately and not because of the music they make. Guitarist Malcolm Young had to drop out of the band due to illness and drummer Paul Rudd has been arrested and found guilty of the charge that he hired someone to commit a murder. Despite all this going on behind the scenes the long-time Aussie hard rockers keep on keeping on. Nephew Stevie Young fills in on guitar for his uncle. Chris Slade is the new drummer. Brian Johnson is approaching seventy but has not let age slow him down. He is still able to growl the lyrics with plenty of might. Angus Young is still the sparkplug he has always been and able to still dole out some blistering solos. For over four decades they have provided the music world with hard hitting bluesy rock music laden with testosterone.
The Australian act is a well-oiled machine at this point and their live show is sure to please filled with pyrotechnics, a blazing light show and big arena anthems that are sure to have everyone in attendance singing along to classics like “You Shook Me All Night Long”, “Back in Black”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “Thunderstruck”, and “Highway to Hell’.
