The key things that Yul Eat want you to know about it are the three words – eat, party and discover. Now who is not attracted to a festival in which these three words are its motto?
Over the three days of the festival it will showcase chefs, specialists, artisans, artists, animators, and food critics. Entry is free and it is in great locale of the Old Port.
For the eat portion there will be a variety of cool and innovative food opportunities. Well known and appreciated chefs will work together in teams to create dishes and menus that will be out of this world. Yul Brunch will pair three Quebec restaurants with food trucks to create a breakfast involving six different dishes. Over the entirety of the three days there will be several free activities like a bread oven, street food, tasting area, and a buvette where you can try wines while listening to music courtesy of different DJs.
Discover is the theme behind a variety of different workshops that will be offered. These include: Entertaining with Chuck Hughes, Stefano Faita – Pasta Workshop and Rémy Couture – The Donut King. There will also be conferences, round tables, demos, book fair, and farmer’s market in the effort to offer a ton of things for you to discover.
Finally, the Party part of the festival is comprised of a Nespresso VIP Lounge and some live music. In the Lounge you will have access to VIP washrooms, a clear view of the stage, exclusive bar and concessions, a mixologist, and gin samples. The live music will be provided courtesy of Rich Aucoin, The Damn Truth, Folly & the Hunter, John Jacob Magistery, Radio Radio, and Andee. If that isn’t enough for you there is more in the form of a celebrity roast competition, waiter races, and a kid’s zone.
