You can really tell music acts that are huge fans apart from just the average Joes. The band Yo La Tengo fall into the first category. They are like Star Trek fans who take it to the next level and dress up in the costumes. Meaning they are bringing it. Stuff Like That There is a mish mash of original and cover songs with the wide range of covers demonstrating that there are no limits to the type of music the band members like. It varies from Hank Williams (“I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”) to The Cure (“Friday I’m in Love”) to Soft Pillow (“Automatic Doom”). They even reinterpret their own songs (“Deeper Into Movies”).
