Find Out What is New at the Montreal International Auto Show 2016

montreal international auto show 20162The 48th edition of the Montreal International Auto Show is right around the bend.  This is the show that will keep you up to date on the current trends in automobile design, what kinds of developments have taken place over the last year and what each dealer is bringing to the public.

Fans of cars will be happy with the over 500 cars on hand to look over.  The cars come from all types of car makers and for all budgets.  From high end like Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, Ferrari, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce to more affordable to ones like Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, and Nissan.

This year’s Performance Zone is hosted by Scion and will be of particular interest to fans of modified cars.  It will take over two rooms and is often an area packed with people.  Another special area is the Top Favourites Test Drive.  Thirteen models were voted fan favourites and will all be available to test drive at special times.  Schedule: January 15 to 23 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and January 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If that isn’t enough there will also be a special electric car test drive area.  Again 13 models will be available to try out.  The schedule for this is the same as the Top Favourites Test Drive.  There will also be a Kia Kid Zone, a contest called The Accelerator, Hema-Quebec blood drive, and Desjardins (co-host of the event) Insurance activities.

The partnership between the Auto Show and Juste Pour Rire last year was so successful that it is happening again this year.  A night of comedy will happen called 100 Rires à l”Heure hosted by Rachid Badouri.  This will happen January 23 at the St. Denis Theatre.  You can get tickets for this special event at www.hahaha.com.
