And Now For Something Complete Different: Suicide Girls Blackheart Burlesque

suicide girls blackheart burlesqueAny show that has “With Bonbon Bombay” underneath the title has to pique the interest of many out there, no?  I don’t see how it couldn’t.

The word burlesque literally means to do a caricature or parody for entertainment value.  It can involve music, literature or acting.  That was changed in the United States around the 1860s until 1940s when it began to be offered as shows in cabarets or clubs and involved shows involving off colour comedy and women removing their clothes.  Interest in it died down and it disappeared until the Nineties when a resurgence happened.

Los Angeles-based Suicide Girls are one of the best known burlesque groups working today.  One of the group’s founders is Missy Suicide.  They have earned fans around the globe for celebrating the female form in all sizes and shapes for over a decade now.  This is not a bunch of girls who just simply take their clothes off to titillate (though there is an aspect of that).  Their shows are productions that contain tons of pop culture references.  References from well-known things like Star Wars, video games, television, movies, and superheroes.  Rounding out the package is great choreography and top notch music.

The VIP tickets include a meet and greet before the show, early entrance to show, photo with performers, autograph opportunity, merch shopping without a big crowd, and a laminated pass.

This show is 18+.
