Airwolf: The Complete Series – Blu-ray Edition

airwolf the complete seriesHere’s a slice of 1980’s television to check out. Airwolf was based on an American clandestine outfit called the Firm, it protected the U.S. from its enemies. Airwolf , Season 1 Includes all 12 episodes on two DVDs. The series was created by Donald Bellisario (JAG, MAGNUM P.I.) and became a perennial favorite among its cult like following. A magnificent armor-plated helicopter (Airwolf) helped the Firm accomplish their weekly missions.

If you enjoyed series like The A-Team then this might be right up your alley. If you don’t remember (or are too young) then the series was about a talented airplane pilot who is working for a secret government division who undertake missions all over the world. The pilot has been equipped with a top-secret and high-tech defense helicopter called Airwolf. Makes sense, doesn’t it? The pilot is at the same time is searching the world for his long-lost brother. The series was nominated for some Emmys (??) and the star playing the lead role, Jan-Michael Vincent, began drinking heavily and the series was cancelled after its third season.

Regulars on the show included: Ernest Borgnine, Alex Cord and Jan-Michael Vincent.
Of course the good guys always succeeded in saving the day, but the fun was in watching the team out smart their enemies.
