These two identical twin sisters hail from Calgary, are Grammy nominees and have earned quite a reputation for themselves in the indie music world. They both write the music, play keyboards and guitars. Both are advocates for the LGBTQ community and are politically active along with socially conscious. They split their time between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
Shortly after the sister graduated from high school they began touring and playing shows. Over the course of their careers they have toured with Neil Young, The Pretenders, Ryan Adams, Ben Folds, Gogol Bordello, City and Colour, Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, Paramore, Rufus Wainwright, Weezer, Jack Johnson, The Black Keys, and Cake. Now 14 years later they have released 8 albums with their latest, Love You to Death, released earlier this year and containing the single “Boyfriend”.
One of the best parts of their live shows is the banter between the two sisters that happens. They tell stories, laugh, talk about politics, and joke. It is a lot of fun.
