Since the mid-90s Noel Gallagher has been a big name in the music industry. For one reason or another. The most important reason has been the music. As part of the Britpop band Oasis, with his brother Liam, he was part of one of the more successful British acts of the 90s. Noel functioned as the lead guitarist and songwriter along with occasional vocalist of the band which released such hits as “Champagne Supernova”, “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”. As famous as they were for their music they were equally so for their rock star lifestyle (drinking and drugs) and the fights between the brothers. By 2009 Oasis was no more due to these conflicts.
A couple of years later, after having done some solo stuff, Noel once again started a band. This time there was no confusion about who was the boss as the band’s name was Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. It really is a collection of musicians around the main man Noel. They have released two albums, the self-titled one in 2011 and Chasing Yesterday in 2015. Noel et al released the outfit’s third album last year called Who Built the Moon?.
