Films on art. That is what FIFA is all about. The International Festival of Films on Art gathers fans of art and film every year at this time to celebrate what it is that makes art tick. The people, styles, trends, techniques, formats, and histories are all things that will be examined and celebrated.
This is the 36th time the festival brings us all the colour, talent, stories, and trends of the art world. Here you will learn and delight in architecture, film, literature, painting, sculpture, fashion design, and music. Films not to be missed include Becoming Cary Grant by Mark Kidel, Persona, le film qui a sauve Ingmar Bergman by Manuelle Blanc, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Une Passion DÉvorante by Catherine Aventurier, Marianne Faithful, fleur d’ame by Sandrine Bonnaire, London Beat by Claude Bredenbrock, and The Florence Foster Jenkins Story by Ralf Pleger.
For the first time this year the festival will be happening at the same time, from March 14 to 18, in the city of Quebec City. The festival is growing continuously and looking for new ways to bring these films to as many people as possible. It is possible due to a partnership between FIFA and Musée des Beaux-Arts de Québec.
There will also be a selection of special events taking place which will round out your festival experience. From the Opening Party taking place at the Société des Arts Technologiques (SAT) on the evening of March 8.
