Kitchener-Waterloo synth-rock band To The Trees’ brand-new video for their latest single “Seasons” is premiering via PureGrainAudio today. Written and directed by The Wolf of Bees Workshops, a one-person initiative based in downtown Kitchener, the video for “Seasons” explores the importance of listening to your inner voice. On the video and track, lead vocalist Katelyn Bearinger had this to say, “There is an inner voice that guides us and must be followed; must be listened to. We may stray from it, seek it, or be deaf to its presence but all the while it is there – our inner strength, our own truth, our compass.”

“Seasons” is featured on the band’s debut self-titled EP, which was released independently in April. In support of their debut EP, the band will be playing a show in Toronto this Wednesday, May 9 at The Piston, as part of CMW.
Recorded at Union Sound Company, under the direction of noted producer Chris Stringer (Broken Social Scene, The Arkells, Tokyo Police Club), To The Trees’ self-titled debut EP features 6 captivating tracks filled with deeply poetic heart-felt lyrics, atmospheric musical soundscapes, pulsing rhythms and a blend of driving and ambient guitar textures. From the evocative “All I Ever Wanted” to the thought-provoking “Seasons”, the bands unique and deeply engaging brand of synth-rock transports the listener outside of themselves.
To The Trees is comprised of Bearinger, guitarist Mike Johnson, keyboardist/vocalist Trevor Martin and drummer/percussionist Jake Bursey. Winners of the Battle for KOI contest, To The Trees have shared the stage with the likes of Sam Cash and the Romantic Dogs, Kalle Matson and HIGHS.
