Will Keane (Richard Gere) plays the role of an aging yet desirable bachelor, restaurateur who has commitment anxiety, until he meets and eventually falls in love with Charlotte Fielding (Winona Ryder). This story is a timeless tale of love that has been told many times before. This movie reminds us of how short our lives can be on this planet. I’m sure many of you will enjoy watching the romantic onscreen pairing of Gere and Ryder despite many people’s comparisons to epic films such as Love Story . The gorgeous cinematography features wonderful New York locations that add to the over-all appeal of the film. If you can over-look the often clichéd lines or predictable outcomes you will definitely enjoy this romantic yet tragic film, after all we all need a decent date flick from time to time.
