Two exciting chances to ‘get lit’ this November! At the Salon du Livre (Nov. 14-19) and Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair (Nov. 24/25)

Both events offer the best in fiction, poetry, history, memoir, graphic novels, books for kids, award-winners and bestsellers
 
For the first time in over ten years, the Association of English-language Publishers of Quebec, together with the Quebec Writers’ Federation, will be at the Salon du livre de Montréal, ‘Get Lit’ stand #753. Following that is the more intimate Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair, a free, two-day celebration of Quebec English-language books. Salon du livre — brilliant English books from Quebec, Wednesday, November 14 – Monday, November 19
Salon du livre de Montréal, Place Bonaventure
Highlights include: a translation slam featuring Kelly Norah Drukkerwinner of the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry and finalist for the Grand Prix du livre de Montréal, and a reading and panel discussion with local writers Dimitri NasrallahHelen Antoniou and Éric Dupont, who is shortlisted for the 2018 Scotiabank Giller Prize.

Holiday Book Fair — just in time for holiday gift-giving, Saturday, November 24 & Sunday, November 25
Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair in the atrium of Concordia’s McConnell Building,

At the Holiday Pop-Up Book Fairjoin Ann-Marie MacDonald, actor, TV host and bestselling author of Fall On Your Knees, for a wine and cheese reception & book signingand meet Gilles Gratton, author of Gratoony The Loony. Gratton is a former goaltender in the NHL, famous for his crazy goalie masks and even crazier behaviour on and off the ice.
With Quebec publishers and authors on hand, expect hundreds of new titles for sale, along with readings and other events happening throughout the Fair. You can’t buy more local than this.
