Star Trek: Stardate Collection – 10 Movie Collection – Blu-ray Edition

Star Trek has been one of the longest lasting sci fi/outer space series/film series in television and movie history. It has struck home consistently with fans of the genre as well as those who don’t usually gravitate towards it. Stardate Collection is one that contains the first 10 films from the film series which covers the years of 1979 until 2002.

Here is a short resume of each film:

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) – Something from space is heading towards Eart. Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) regains command of the Starship Enterpise and is tasked with intercepting, figuring out what it is and ultimately stopping it.

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan (1982) – Helped by the crew of the Enterprise, Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) faces is old foe Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalban). Khan using his son’s life generating device known as the Genesis Device is armed with a seemingly unbeatable weapon.

Star Trek III: The Search For Spock (1984) – The crew and Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) put their careers on the line when the steal the decommissioned Enterprise in order to return to the planet Genesis with the goal of recovering Spock’s (Leonard Nimoy) body.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) – An alien probe has put Earth’s future at risk. The on the run crew of the Enterprise along with Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) travel back in time to 20th century Earth. They hope to retrieve humpback whales which are the only beings that seem to be able communicate with the aliens.

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) – Kirk (William Shatner) and his crew are involved with Spock’s long lost half brother who has commandeered the Enterprise with the aim of searching for God at the center of the galaxy.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) – Just as they are about to retire, Kirk (William Shatner) and McCoy (DeForest Kelley) are arrested and put in prison on the charges of assassinating the Klingon High Chancellor. It is up to the crew of the Enterprise then to help uncover the conspiracy which has put in peril peace in the galaxy.

Star Trek: Generations (1994) – The reputedly dead Captain Kirk (William Shatner) helps Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) to put a halt to an unhinged man who wants to enter a space matrix even at the cost of countless lives.

Star Trek: First Contact (1996) – The crew and Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) chase a Borg through time in order to stop them from erasing from history human contact with alien life.

Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) – The Federation is planning to eliminate the inhabitants of a unique planet and in reaction Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew lead a rebellion.

Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) – The Enterprise is sent to the planet Romulus in order to negotiate a truce. Things change after the Federation finds out the Romulans are plotting to attack Earth.
